New to Premiere Pro
As a student (I’m retired from the computer field), I’ve been interested in producing various videos for my own amusement and those of friends. I’ve been working with Pinnacle’s Studio 9 Plus and, although it has many fine features, I’m frustrated by the lack of flexibility. I’ve decided to join the ranks of those who use Premiere Pro.
To join the club, I’ve got to upgrade my computer to use an AMD chip with SSE2 and a new motherboard. I’m not interested in working in HD just yet, so I’m hoping to stay with my inexpensive nVidia card – FX5200 – for now. My DVD burner is the NEC ND3540A and drive space in not a problem. The sound card is a Creative Audigy 2 ZS Platinum.
All of this will require $$$ which I’ve been saving for a while for such an outlay.
My question is:
have I considered all the expenses or have I forgotten anything?
Furthermore, I look upon learning this package as a mental exercise.
Thanks in advance;
Stan
