    Hi,

So – my first time with P2 – I have fcs 2 & latest mac os – I shot some material at 720, 25p – now, how do I get it into fcp ?
I can see the clips in vcr mode on the hvx & the firewire cable is plugged in but it isn’t mounting – what am I missing ?
I tried downloading p2 drivers & the p2 viewer software but still no dice.
I can see the hvx in the system profiler under ‘ firewire’ so, this proves its speaking to the mac.

    Please help ?

    On the camera menu:
Go to Other FunctionsPC Mode – set it to 1394 Device and press menu twice to exit.
Go to the back of the camera and press the MODE button, the MCR lamp lights up,
then hold the mode button down for about 5 seconds.
You should be set to import now in fcp.

“everything is broken” ……1st. coined by Esther Philips I believe.

Also you might consider getting a P2 drive, P2 store or perhaps an old Powerbook which you could use to transfer the P2 cards directly rather than tying up the camera with direct transfer.
