    Hello All,

I’m brand spankin new to keying. I’ve read some info in the AE help files, and I see there are a lot of posts about this, but am wondering if anyone knows of a good basic into to keying source? OR a step by step explanation of the different types. etc…

    THANKS!

Thanks Dave. That’s VERY helpful! What if I’m not using footage but creating graphics that will be placed over footage? Is that handled the same way?

    THANKS!

remember, rendering graphics to be keyed in an nle, when you set your output module to render rgb + alpha and millions+, set the color to straight (unmatted). that way you’ll avoid the black fringe/halo effect and save a step trying to remove it in your nle.
