I finally talked the people upstairs into renting a HD cam and a light kit for some green screen stuff this weekend. This will be my firs time working a HD project.

What would my ideal workflow be for AVCHD from the HMC150?

I will be editing using FCP 5.04 or FCEHD 3.5

If I understand correctly, FCP 5.04 is incapable of working with AVCHD, so I will have to transcode the footage to something else.

-Any recommendations? Also, what method of ingesting the footage should I go with? A SD card reader?

The computer is a iMac 2.8 ghz intel core duo, 4GB RAM running leopard.

-Will this be able to handle the HD shot at 1080p for keying purposes?

Time is of the essence with this project, so any ideas or workflow on how to keep render times down will be helpful.

Aside from the greenscreen stuff, we will be filming a 45 min sermon in low light conditions with the HMC150 and two GL2s that were borrowed to us.

-Any suggestions on how to keep the footage looking consistent?

Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this and help a HD noob out! Any input is GREATLY appreciated, as this is a very important project.

    Good Day
