    Hey,

I’m very new to Encore, and am excited to author my own DVD. Basically, before having any knowledge of Encore, I set up all my menus and transitions in After Effects. What I was hoping to do was to draw out “hotspots” over the motion menu to create invisible buttons, but I’m not sure how to achieve this. I also have simple roll over graphics made (such as an arrow that appears next to the link, for example), and am stumbling over myself trying to figure these out … of course, I probably have to figure out how to make a simple invisible button, first 🙂 Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Encore doesn’t have a feature that allows you to draw hotspots on a menu.

Instead, you work with a menu file, which is a PSD (Photoshop document file). Any drawing would be done in Photoshop. Review Encore’s documentation for layer naming prefixes, and what they translate into when you import the PSD as a menu.
