I just sold my XL-1 and bought a DVX-100 for a new real estate video business I have started. I need advice on basic set up for this thing. The manual explains HOW to do things but not much WHY. I was very quick and familiar with lighting adjustments on the XL-1 but feel pretty dumb with all the options on the DVX.

I guess what I really need to know is a good starting setup for indoor and one for outdoor shooting in 24p to edit in FCP and output on DVD.

    Thanks,
    Travis

I’d highly recommend buying Barry Green’s guide to the DVX- tons of useful info in there if you want to get the most out of your cam:

Yeah I saw your reccomendatioon for that in another thread and bought it earlier this evening. I guess I’m just impatient.

    Thanks,
    Travis
