New to Authoring, have a basic subtitling question
Hello
I have to bid a job and was wondering a couple of things:
1. Can you add subtitles to a Blu-Ray project in Encore. (Thought I seen somewhere that you could not.)
2. What type of files should I use? I have authored with .STLs in DVDSP, and that’s what my Captioning service provides. Should I ask for a different type of file from them instead? Or will Encore accept the STL file?
Any help on this would be appreciated greatly.

I have only titled in Premiere Pro, but this help section seems to suggest you can:

hi mike,
of course you can add subtitles to encore-created blu-rays. encore does not accept STL-files, it has it´s own format for subtitles.if you have a STL-files, I would suggest to use annotation edit from zeitanker to convert your subtitles.
this would be a one-klick-work…

Thanks guys, I heard back from my Captioning person and she confirmed what type of files would be necessary. As far as the Blu ray capability, I assumed so, but doing searches seen some mention of it not working in Encore. Thanks again!
