Hey I new to AE (CS5). I searched in the FAQ but didn’t find what I was looking for.

I need to insert a graphic of a sign into a movie clip. In the scene the camera pans to the right so I want the sign to stay in place as the camera moves past it. Is there a way, which I’m sure there is, to do this other then repositioning the graphic every couple of frames?

*Edit* Oh just set two key frames and timed it with the shot. Is there another way of doing it that would look smoother?*Edit*

I would suggest using Mocha for what your trying to do. It comes bundled with after effects and is a good planar tracking program.

You could try the tracker in After Effects but I usually find Mocha easier to use for a lot of stuff.

Here’s a really simple video that I made introducing mocha for this purpose: https://www.video2brain.com/en/videos-4351.htm
