    Hello all,

I posted something similar prior to NAB, but everyone recommended I wait until afterward to make a decision. I am curious if anything has changed.

I currently run a Matrxo RTX100 Xtreme Pro on a 2T, Windows XP Pro system with 2GB ram, ASUS P5AD2-E motherboard. I consistently use PPro 2.0, AE 7.0, etc.

    This system rocks.

My boss likes it so much he is wanting one just like it or even better. We are not yet interested in HD, but want to make sure they are compatible (i.e. Matrox codecs). We do plenty of color correction, but not a ton of 3d wipes and what not.

Was anything released by Matrox or anything else that you would recommend I take a look at? We are not interested in building a $10,000 box. Something reasonable that flies with SD and is compatible with our current system would be great.

    Thanks in advance,
    Justin Hawley.

  • If you want absolte platform interchange compatibility, look on Ebay for a second RTX100, (maybe with Video Bundle,) and a cheap intel 875 chipset system to go with. You should be able to build the whole banana for less than $2200. Actually this is a great system, and you can save your bucks for newer system technology, when it shakes out. Sometimes you got to make money with what you got.

Justin, we may want to talk. I am migrating to FCP due to freelancing for a company that uses FCP and is giving me tons of work.

I debated about upgrading Adobe with the new build for the RT100 and decided not to.

So would you be intrested in purchasing a entire system? Pc with 3 hds Rt100 card, Matrox Parilla video card, M audio card pc is loaded with Adobe video collection pro
