Parke Gregg
April 13, 2010 at 4:40 pmI hear the new Resolve panels may be different than what is currently shown on the BlackMagic/DaVinci site. Is this true? If so, what are the differences?

April 13, 2010 at 8:00 pmI have not seen the website but I can tell you the one on the show floor is incredible. Grant was telling me they really redesigned the internal structure to make it solid but not too heavy.
I love that I can star out with our current tanger wave panel and step up to this new panel at a later date. When Robbie gets his photos up you’ll see the great job they did with it.

April 14, 2010 at 1:01 amGuys I made a mistake. The panels they have on the floor are the older panels. The new hardware is not ready yet. But I can confirm its USB based, no track pad with mouse buttons (4th track ball and wheel acts as that or you can use another mouse) I just finished teaching for the day at Post Production world will post pics before AJA party tonight

April 14, 2010 at 5:40 amThe panels on the show stand are using the original metal work, but have updated electronics. The redesigned panel metal work will be very similar to what you see on the stand, with the exception that the trackpad will be removed. The panels are USB connected to the Resolve system.
