    Hello,

    I’m considering an EVGA GTX570 with 2.5GB.
Now Nvidia announced the Quadro K5000 with 4GB for the MacPro.

Any idea if CUDA / OpenCL performance on K5000 will really be that well
to justify the x4.5 price difference?

    Best regards,
    Bernhard

It’s more like 7x the price and who knows when the k will be out. Just get the 570 (about $300) and sell if you get a k5000 when it finally arrives
The gtx 570 is great for the price. Needs 2 6pin power plugs btw

    Thank You!

It is said that the Kepler architecture does not perform CUDA as well as Fermi
on comparable platforms… (Doesn’t mean GTX is better than Quadro.)

I think the GTX570 will do a good job.

    Best regards,
    Bernhard
