Hi, Im new to this forum and new to adobe and video editing so any clarification, help is much appreciated.I have only been using this gear for 1 month, I have alot to learn.

I recorded a band with sony ax2000,used cineform to convert to .avi, edited and sent to encore, built a simple menu, presto, DVD.

    Birthday party with canon HFS10,…easy.

    Yoga instruor, HFS10 same results.

I used the sony to record a car show and the trouble started immediately in premiere pro, hanging…freezing.
I finally got it finished, sent to encore, start build and the transcoding bar stops progressing in the same spot every time.No error message, just idle.Went back to B-day project and built a DVD no problem.
I am sure this is operator error and I should have kept a record of downloads and updates.I am accumulating a list of possible fixes to apply that I have gathered from forums, just wanted to introduce myself and get a dialog going. Thanks for your time.

Export the sequence to Mpeg-2 DVD using Adobe Media Encoder instead of send to encore. I suspect there is some problem with the video clip or the video is corrupt.

Thank you for responding.Yes, ME hangs on carshow project but processes B-day no problem.

Is there any way to “uncorrupt” these files?

I am chasing down an error code from my event log that seems to have originated from norton(.hsie2010.exe).

That was about the time I was transferring the clips.
First premiere hang was right after that event.

Thanks for your response, its good to have help.

Are you able to export the AVCHD car show footages to .avi using cineform ? Are you using a trial build?

Hi, Yes I converted the avchd to avi in all 3 projects.I have a paid version of neoscene which I upgraded to version 5.0 just before the car show project.
Its frustrating because at first everything worked so smoothly.
I shot some new clips with both cameras last night and will see what happens.
I will update soon. Thanks for your time RAJA.
