  New occurrance, old issue

  I assure everyone I’ve spent the last three days Googling and reading. If this definitely redundantly recurring subject irks you, please forgive me. I’m posting here in hopes that someone besides the person writing the following listed blog can offer some insight into what I’ve found. This is the comment/question I originally wanted to post to the blog on how to solve the great Qmaster/Compressor snafu at: https://www.kashum.com/blog/1152611689
  It’s still having a server error so I can’t post there. Please bear with me, okay? Thanks!

  After attempting the manual start and some other entering in Terminal I discovered that my qmasterd file is missing.
  “5/1/11 2:30:16 PM Compressor[764] NSDocumentController Info.plist warning: The values of CFBundleTypeRole entries must be ‘Editor’, ‘Viewer’, ‘None’, or ‘Shell’.”

  I ran Console like someone else had and found this some thirty-two times consecutively:
  “5/1/11 2:30:16 PM Compressor [764] NSDocumentController Info.plist warning: The values of CFBundleTypeRole entries must be ‘Editor’, ‘Viewer’, ‘None’, or ‘Shell’. ”
  And then lastly:
  “Warning once: This application, or a library it uses, is using NSQuicDrawView, which has been deprecated. Apps should cease use of QuickDraw and move to Quartz.”

  The StartupParameters Plist showed this:

  I’ve downloaded Pacifist and have the “how to reinstall this via the Compressor Repair site” page open.
  I’ve taken a deep breath and am about to pull out the two culprits and re-install them. God, I hope this works! (Thanks Richard, for your very helpful advice!)

  What do you all make of the various logs?
  Anybody?
