I’m buying a laptop specifically for PremPro and have the option of Intel Core 2 Duo T7600
    2.33GHz or AMD Turion 64 ML-44 (35W, 2.4GHz, 1MB) either fitted with NVIDIA GeForce 7900 Go GTX 512MB.

Would I be better off with the AMD or Intel?

I’ll be running AE etc on this machine too.

    Thanks for your thoughts

Intel. I have been using Intel laptops for a while now, without any issues. However, on the other hand, many people that I work with have had a few issues with AMD processors, especially while upgrading to new versions of the Adobe applications.

The system looks pretty good! I would not reccomend anything lower than 2gb of system memory.

Thanks Aanarav, I’ll stick to the Intel then. Any other recommendations?

Can you pass on what problems are these, it would be nice to know, also if its specific to on class.

There aren’t any specific ones. Most of them had to do with DVD burining issues. Take a look at the Adobe User forums.
