New Laptop for Onset Review + Editing
Hi Guys,
Looking to purchase a new laptop for Sony Veges Pro for onset review and editing. I am shooting 90% HDSLR’s and other HD formats.
I currently have an HP I-5 with 4 GB of RAM, and its about 1.5 years old.
What brand laptop+ video card+ RAM should I look at….

I’m partial, after trying a number of them, to the Thinkpad W520 or W530. Great graphics options, superb (IMHO) keyboard, great screen. I’m satisfied with it.

Does the Thinkpad take advantage of the GPU that sony vegas pro offers?

Seems to! Yes. It’s got an Nvidea Quadra 1000M in it. Seems to rock. I haven’t actually ‘benchmarked’ it, but I’m thrilled with it’s speed.
