I just was up at Red Giant and noticed something new called “Key Correct Pro.”
It was created by Stonewall Ballard – famous for a brilliant, and useful filter set called
Composite Wizard. (CW denoiser was great for making VHS look like beta – and I’m
betting the Key Correct Artifact will work well on over-compressed footage)

Stoney also just completed the update on Primate Keyer, which is easy to use
and superior Discreet’s “Diamond Keyer” and AE’s Keylight.

I only had time to download and do a couple of things with Key Correct – it looks pretty
damned good. That’s not much of a review. After next week, I may have time to say
    something of substance.

If any of you guys download and try it, please let us know what you think.

Here are the filters included in Key Correct:

Denoiser fix low-light noise problems in poorly lit footage
Edge Blur Quickly and accurately soften the edges of matte hiding uneven and chattering edges caused by noise, grain or DV artifacts
    Edge Finder
Light Wrap Another tool to better integrate the keyed element to the background by providing the illusion that light from the background layer is reflecting along the edges of the foreground.
Matte Feather Quickly and accurately soften the edges of matte hiding uneven and chattering edges caused by noise, grain or DV artifacts
    Matte Feather Sharp
    Rack Focus
    Smooth Screen
    Speedy Blur
Spill Killer Corrects unwanted foreground spill found in hard to key areas like hair, motion blur or edges.
Wire & Rig Remover Wire and rig removal
ZoneHLS Improve the color match between color key elements and any background

    Jean,

Thanks for the note. You left out a few filters, though:

Alpha Cleaner – Allows you to zap grain or noise, fill in holes in the foreground matte, and fix other challenging matte problems. Additional gamma controls let you cut out dark noise and sharpen matte edges.

Color Matcher – Re-maps the colors of the foreground to match the background for seamless integration. Tracks color changes automatically.

Deartifactor – Fixes the low color resolution problem in DV & HDV formats. Especially good for keying with DV.

Try this Deartifactor on your crappy DV footage! Freaking amazing.
