    Hi All,

Kind of an odd question, I know – but we are selling some older (2006/2007 3ghz, dual core) MacPros. I remember when we first setup FCP on them we couldn’t really capture ProResHD on our DualCore systems (with non-hardware accelerated cards) – because the fact they were only dual core. With all the new itterations of ProRes that came out, do you know if this is still a problem with the older Dual Core systems? I just don’t want to sell these systems under false pretense that they can work flawlessly with ProRes! I’ve scanned over the new white papers and didn’t notice and mention of changes to the actual architecture of the codec so I wasn’t sure.

I still find it odd that an older Quad G5 could capture ProRes, but not a Dual Core Mac Pro…that pro res sure is processor intensive!!
