NEW Io software available for download, v2.0 driver, and v1.0 Io Control Panel

v1.0 Io Control Panel
Changed In This Release:– New Firmware supports a new Io Control Panel application (included).
In this release, you can also now update firmware simply by running the new Control Panel (supplied), which then tells you if you need the firmware update (it will supply the correct version for the model of Io attached).– Enables ProcAmp controls, for analog and digital signals.
– Output Timing Controls enabled.
– Analog Audio Levels controls enabled.
Io Driver v2.0 for Io/IoLA/IoLD is the final version of the v2.0b beta that was previously posted. Changed In This Release:
– Includes 23.98 Easy Set-ups.

Is this version of the driver supposed to enable the TBC controls in the FCP capture window too?

I installed the Io software, firmware and control panel last night. All was well until I tried to capture from my DSR-1500A and UVW-1800 via RS422; no VTR communication. Also a preset I made yesterday disappeared. I reverted to the previous firmware and device control returned. I’m running OS 10.3.9 and FCP 4.5. I may try again after I install Tiger and FCP 5.

So is this upgrade only for Tiger users? Only for FCP5 users? Who is it for exactly? I’m sure there is a readme file that explains everything. But you know how many people actually read those! 😉

No, you have to tweak in Control Panel, then those settings will be in place when you bop back into FCP.

I’ve installed the Control Panel 1.0 and Drivers 2.0 on 10.3.9 and FCP HD and it work fine with uvw-1800 and DVW-500 with 422.
Too bad we can’t access control of procamp in FCP Capture window.

Amen, brother! Give us that, and a way to save the proc settings. And as long as I’m wishin’ – how about being able to batch capture, and autoload proc settings! Whooooho!

Any and all of the Io Control Panel settings, including ProcAmp, can be saved and recalled later.
Under the “Presets” tab, there are controls for “Load Preset” and “Save Preset As…”. Any preset can also be set as the default, with the “Set Default” button, which once set even retains the settings if the Io is powered down and unplugged!
So…a few of your wishes have come true 😉
