“New” free emitter libraries released!
As you’re probably aware, I haven’t been as diligent with the emitter library releases recently as I should have. (As a reminder, we’ve switched to quarterly releases instead of monthly, but I haven’t been very good at even making the quarterly releases.)
Today we have released the Q2 and Q3 libraries for pI3, pIAE, and pIOFX to get all caught up. These aren’t just any libraries though…
…these are six of the Pro Emitter libraries! You may be aware that we stopped selling the Pro Emitters a while ago. The reason for that was that we wanted to make them available to *all* particleIllusion users, as they showcase what pI can really do.
I released 3 libs for Q2 and 3 for Q3: Abstract, Eclectic 01, Logo and Text, Graphics Elements 2, Artistic Backgrounds, and Pyro 01.
They should show up in the “check for updates” dialog of pI3 so that’s the recommended method of installing, or if you’re a pIAE or pIOFX user, go directly to the wondertouch.com emitter downloads page or use these direct links to each library:

I know that some of you may already have all of the Pro Emitters, so this may be a disappointment to you (no “new” emitters for a while). Be optimistic though — with the release of these, we can now start making variations of these *killer* emitters and release them in the future libraries. So you may have to wait a while for them to show up, but you’re going to be getting some really great stuff!
Do I need to point out that these emitters are really quite special? The artists who created them utilized many previously-unknown tricks to get pI to do some really incredible things. I know you’ll be impressed if you haven’t seen the pro emitters before.

Awesome! Thanks for posting all new libraries to get caught up! I am still using 3.0.4.1 and I do not see them on my download list still. I have not made the switch yet to 3.0.9 since I am still in process of finishing up my Windows 7 64bit system.
I am wait to test or download the emitters manually. Let me know if you need me to wait.

Hmm. I’m pretty sure they should show up in the “check for updates” emitter library list, even on 3.0.4.1. Can anybody confirm that they *have* seen these new pro emitters show up in the free emitter list of the autoupdate dialog?

You said this was Vegas 12, right? Can you do a screencapture session so I can see what the performance of your setup is with particleIllusion? I’ll get your version of Vegas installed and see how it works on my system with the same emitter.

Alan, I was wondering if SE is going to be supported any more. I remember you did say, last year? that there would be less support. Has SE been totally discontinued, now?
