New files in separate windows
Hi there,
Just upgraded to CS4 from 3 and just wondering where the preference is which specifies that new files open is separate windows as oppose to in new tabs along the top of the canvas. I find it much easier in work-flow because you can use apple’s ‘show all windows’ feature to pick which canvas you want. It’s much easier.

I think what you’re looking for is under the Window menu (Window>Arrange>choice).

It’s been driving me crazy too. Here’s the answer.
Go to Photoshop Preferences>General>Interface and uncheck “Open Documents as Tabs”
It took me a month to find that!
