I just noticed something that I have never seen before. After my fcp crashed a couple of times (rendering in Magic Bullet), I got a this message after restaring finalcut. Is this finalcut spesific or a Leopard feature ?.

    Must be a Leopard thing…

    This doesn’t happen in Tiger.

It’s there in Tiger, it’s just named a little different, and usually you have to have the program crash twice in a row. If you look closely it will say something like it will restore the program to it’s natural state (meaning it trashed the preferences for you). It’s the middle option just like the screen cap Anders provided.

    Really…

I’ve never seen that before and I’ve have FCP crash more than twice before. I just get the usual report to Apple and restart the program. But its never reset the program. Now…. I have seen FCP reset itself on occasions but never the like that Anders has shown.

The Leopard way is much more straight forward, for sure.
