NEW FCPX EFFECT: Multi Gradient Blur
Hi,
I’ve made a Blur Effect where you can choose between a Circular Gradient Blur, a Single Linear Blur, a Double Linear Blur or a combination of a Circular and Double Linear Blur.
The start and end points for the Linear Blurs and the Centre for the Circular Blur are adjustable with onscreen controls and numerically in the inspector.
The Blur amount is grouped in a single slider. The Inner and Outer Radius are adjustable by slider only.Unzip and drag the folder in Movies/Motion Templates/Titles

Thank you for this great tool!
This is a creative and clever implementation of a selective blur filter. I truly like and appreciate the on-screen controls and the fact that it’s on a title layer, enable me to make quick changes. Also, placing more than one “title” effect on a clip allows the stacking of more than one blur effect on a clip, creating a very natural “shallow depth of field” effect that works convincingly.
