New Emitters
Posted by Paul Hansen on May 4, 2010 at 5:51 pmI would really like to see a collection of black and white and shades of gray emitters that could be used as animated track mattes.

May 4, 2010 at 6:42 pmWhy not just take existing emitters and convert them to greyscale (in another app)?
Or set the tint color to white and set “tint strength” to 100% or close to it.
If those won’t do it for you, can you be more specific on the kinds of things you want to do?

May 4, 2010 at 7:15 pmHi, Alan… Thanks for the response. I was watching Masterpiece Mystery the other night and saw how they used animated track mattes under the opening titles show different aspects of the character. I also saw how they used them on the PBS program “Nature”. I have been going through my collection of emitters to see which ones I could adjust but would still like to have a collection of them. This is probably not to clear.

May 4, 2010 at 7:33 pmI think all “Nature” episodes are online now on the PBS website. If you can tell me what part of which episode to watch, I’ll take a look. Also tell me what to look out for. =)

May 4, 2010 at 11:09 pmI looked at the PBS site… both at Nature and Mystery. The show the episodes but, they don’t show the opening titles and that’s where, what I think are, the animated tracks are used… :o(
