new effects/generators not showing up in 5.1.2
Im running the latest 5.1.2 version of FCP. From what I understand there are some new effects/filters/generators that come with this upgrade as detailed in this article by Andrew Balis on Ken Stone’s site:

I dont see any of the new stuff in FCP… and I made sure to select the new “All Effects” option in the Effects>Effect Availability menu.
Anyone else seeing/not seeing the new goodies?

FCP 5.1.2 doesn’t include any new effects in and of itself, what it does do is enable the use of FxPlug effects, either 3rd Party, or those that you may already have installed as part of Motion …. do you have Motion installed?

I agree with Sterling… I have the full FCS with Motion installed and I don’t see any of these effects either.

what graphics card do you have installed? performance for FXplug is dependent on GPU, the better the Graphics card, the better FXplug performance

I have an ATI Radeon 9600 Pro in a 2GHz Power Mac G5 with 5GB ram installed…using a Kona 2 card as well.
