I have been setting up my new 8core and am having some issues importing P2 clips from my FireStore. I am able to import fine on both my MacBook and older G5.

I go into the new Log and Transfer. I am able to see and play all the clips but when I add to Queue I get the spinning icon then a red ! and nothing get imported. Any help would greatly be appreciated. I am capturing to my internal Video drive 1.5TB with plenty of space

    Thanx

DId you organize P2 before trying to import on the firestore?

Yes I did organize. I am able to see the thumbnails and play in the Log and Transfer. My other computers have FCP 5.0.4 and I am able to import the footage fine.

Make sure you’ve run software update to get to the newest OS, QT and FCP versions.

Preferences on FCP may be corrupt.

This is definitely something new within FCStudio2. I imported the clips on my older G5 that was running FCP 5.0.4 and everything imported perfectly. I then upgraded that computer and tried to import again and now have the same result.

I see a couple people are experiencing the same issues in a thread posted on July3rd. No one ever resolved the issue. One person mention Remove Duplicate Frames button because of the DVCPROHD codec. (my footage is shot in 720-30 not 24fps.) I tried that and it did not seem to help.

    Thanx

I heard something about FCP6/FCS2 having a bug in the P2 import software. I think it was discussed in the FCP forum.
