    Hi Everyone,
I am really interested in getting the HPX 300. My friends have the EX 1 and EX 3. My experience is with the HVX 200. But I never like how the Panny shot in Low light situations. How does the HPX 300 compare with the EX 1 and the EX 3.

    Thanks,

    Steve

HPX300 has 1/3″ sensors, the Sonys have 1/2″ hence the Sonys are about 1/4 to 1/2 stop faster, depending on the shooting mode you are in. The Sonys are also antiseptically clean. Some like that look, others don’t. The HPX300 looks like an HPX170 with a much better codec, lens and is cleaner. Similar colorimetry though. If you dig the Panasonic look, you will love the HPX300. If you want the Discovery Channel HD always shot in 60i even when shooting 24p look, you’ll prefer the Sonys.
