    Hey guys,

I’m planning to buy a new camcorder, since I’m getting pretty tired of keying bad resolutions DV shots. I have a Sony Handycam. I wouldn’t know what other informations to give since I’m far from being a professional when it comes to decide wich camcorder as a better resolution.

Well, I don’t know if it’s the way I exported it the all time, but I always used Windows Movie Maker to export my videos from my cam to my computer. Alright, I know Windows Movie Maker is like, for an AE user, the cheapest software ever; but that’s about the only export program I know!

I mean, I export my vids in Windows Media, NTSC 2,1 Mo/secs. That’s the highest exporting resolution you can get, I think, after trying them all, in WMM.

Well I spoke with the seller and after trying them all I figured this one would respond to my needs. Okay, I know Future Shop aren’t selling professional camcorders, but my camera has only one utility: shoot in front of my green screen so it’s quite normal that I want a cam’ that will punch up the RGB channels (especially the green) and this cam seems to do it.

Am I making the right choice? Should I keep my old cam’?

I just wanted to know if you guys could give me some tips that could help me to make the right choice?

    Thx for your time!

Well yeah, a 3-CCD camera will help a LITTLE since the colors are more saturated, but there are lots of factors to consider, color space being the biggest I guess and DV can only handle so much. But I think DV can take you reasonably far.

Please post us a still grab of your footage with green screen, and how do you light when using green screen?
