I will write out my simple scenario, and ask your guys opinion on what is out there new.

We are still burning SD dvds for our customers. The footage comes from POV cameras that make H.264 mp4 videos. Right now we are using Compressor and encoding the video for burning. Throw the videos in to Toast and burn away. Workflow is Camera dump > Compressor > Toast > Burn master > DVD duplicator > Give to customer. The catch is we are trying to complete this process as fast as possible so the customer is not waiting too long. Right now the process is about 15-20min depend on the length of footage. Obviously the longest part of this process is the encoding and would like to speed that part up. We are a Mac environment but not 100% married to the product.

If you were to build something new to simply encode and burn DVDs what would you purchase?
