New Blue Fx Stabilizer feedback
Posted by Sebastien Gravel on February 27, 2010 at 3:11 pmWell, I wanted to know if any of you have had any luck with this new Vegas plug-in from New Blue Fx. It looks like a neat product, but so far, I have not been able to get it to work on my system…
What is your experience with it?

February 28, 2010 at 2:17 pmI’m a huge Sony fan and have everything Sony for my productions but I found it did basically nothing to the clip I tried. I also have a friend that downloaded the 64 bit version and it didn’t even show up in Vegas 64 bit but did show up in 32 bit.
I’ve been using Mercalli and find that although there are too many setting for my liking, it works quite well. -

February 28, 2010 at 10:19 pmEven with Mercalli I’m absolutely not satisfied. I haven’t found the perfect stabilizer yet…
But it will depend on the footage whether you get some acceptable results.Theo

February 28, 2010 at 11:10 pmThat’s so true. I find sometimes Mercalli does a wonderful job and other times I use it and wonder if it’s working at all even with very similar clips.

June 4, 2010 at 3:15 pmI’ve tried New Blue Stabliser on several clips, using most of the provided precepts, without any real success. It certainly seems to have some effect, but not always the one that is looked for. Has anyone worked out any principles underlying the various adjustments? I seem to have read somewhere that NewBlue is working on improvements for the Vegas range of NLPs – is this correct? I very much hope so.
