    Can anyone help?

I am making a short movie in Adobe Premier 6. When I try to add a simple mp3 Winamp media file as an audio sound track (a song), it seems to skip a beat every once in a while, like broken record. Sometimes if I shot the whole program down and re-open it it works fine, but the minute I work and shift things on the time line, the separate song audio track seems to jump. Worst of all, when I export the timeline to an avi movie file, same thing!

How can I prevent this? Anyone?

    thanks

Premiere 6 never really dealt well with MP3s. In fact, I still convert files to wav for CS3, just in case.

I tried that too after doing some reading. Converting the mp3 to wav certainly helps, but after export the timeline and view the final in an .avi, it still skips, nit as bad, but you can still hear it.

Do you think if I upgrade to Pro I will get rid of this completly?

    thanks
