I have a successfully working render farm here at work – all via AE’s built-in Watch Folder render workflow. All the machines are connected over a network that’s controlled by an Xsan. It’s awesome.

    However…

The various Render Engines are unable to write to the Render Control file that’s generated after I collect the files. It’s a permissions issue. I need to manually Get Info on the collected files folder, enable Read & Write for everyone, and apply to enclosed items. Otherwise, the Render Engines won’t pick it up.

Anyone know of a way to, within AE, script that permissions fix? Or at the very least script a fix in Finder? Perhaps a script that automatically fixes the file once dropped into the Watch Folder?
