When I save an INDD file to a drive other than my C: drive I am unable to reopen the file. I get a message telling me that my file permissions are wrong or that the file may already be open. Can anyone help me?

What version of InDesign are you using?

Is the application located on your hard drive or a network or external drive?

Try creating an archive of the file on the server and dragging that to your desktop and open it.

    Does that work?
