    Hi,

I’m editing a 1920 x 1080 timeline, with varying resolution clips. I wish to nest a timeline which has the resolution 4500 x 3000 in to the 1080 timeline. When I do this, the nested timeline appears at 100% scale (so the nest is cropped in the 1080 timeline) – as expected. However, when I try to reduce the nest (zoom out) to see the whole of that 4500 x 3000 image, the nest stays cropped, so I just zoom back the 100% cropped image.

I have my project setting input scaling set to “centre crop with no resizing” which works as expected with the non nested 4500 x 3000 clips. Please advise my mistake!

    Mac OS 10.13.6 High Sierra

    Thanks in advance, Neil Wieteska

[Neil Wieteska] “works as expected with the non nested 4500 x 3000 clips.”

If you open the compound clip in its own timeline, “Open in timeline” you will find that the resizing is probably set to something other than the Project Settings. This is the only way I know of to drill down to the Inspector Settings for a nested element.

Thanks for the reply. But, yes I’ve already done that and no joy.
