    do you lose video quality when you nest vegas project inside another project when you render the 2nd project? also can you nest a project inside a 2nd project and then take that project and nest inside another new project…will you still get the same quality render as if it were all one project.

    the reason i ask this is because i have a project that takes many, many layers of 3d compositing and it would be easier and less confusing to every once in a while go to a new project, nest the last project that i was working on and then continue to add more video layers on the end inside of having like 100 layers of video.

    No.

    Yes.

    It might be faster if you render out some of the pieces, though. If you do that, I would use uncompressed AVI just for the 3D parts as that will maintain full quality and can keep your transparency.
