Wondering if anybody can help with this one. I’ve got 8 separate scenes that have their own veg file. Each veg file was set up to edit in NTSC DV widescreen (720 x 480 29.970fps)

I’m trying to import all these scenes into one master scene so I can add final sound fx (5.1 sound mix) and render 1x to master a dvd in dvda. I’m able to import 4 scenes before the computer hangs up with a “Vegas not responding” message.

I’m running windows xp pro | 3.5gig RAM | separate media drive that is 150 gig with 70 gig free | Pentium 4 3.37 ghz processor | Vegas 8 Pro

Is this a memory or processor issue? I’m trying to avoid rendering these individual timelines as AVI’s to preserve some quality, but if I need to that, I will. But is there a better way to do this if I am indeed under powered?

    Thanks for any help…
