    I have a “nesting problem”…

I nested a time line… added a narration track to the nested “clip”… Now, when I go to the original timeline of the nested clip, and change a clip on the video tracks of the original timeline, everything updates normally in the nested clip. However, when I change the audio in the original timeline, nothing gets updated in the nested clip. Also, when I create a gap on the original timeline, the gap in the video is also in the nested clip ” but the audio doesn’t change (no gap), thus getting everything out of sync. Is this a bug (I’m using 5.1), or am I doing something “wrong”? Suggestions?

    Thanks.

have you written the audio tracks? it might be that you have rendered the audio and not the video – so the nested clip might be refering to the nested render sequence rather than your modified original sequence.

cTRL B to toggle the enable clip option on the nest.

Sometimes that clears those things up.
