Nesting Effects In a Bin

Nope. You have to save the effects, and apply them one at a time, holding the OPTION key as you do it.

[Sarah Furie] “Also, is there any way to drag an effect from a bin on to multiple clips in the timeline and not just drag the icon one at a time?”

Yes. Highlight the clips in SELECT mode…or lasso them by dragging from upper left to lower right. Then double click on the effect you want to add. NOTE: This applies the first effect to each clip individually…any additional effects added this way appears to nest all of them, and then apply the effect.

There is a trick you can use to save a nest of effects to a bin.

1. Put all of the effects for your clip on a blank track above that clip. Nest them in the order you want them.
2. When your effect nest has been built, apply a Submaster effect. This “collapses” all the effects inside the Submaster.
3. Open the effect editor and Alt+Drag the Submaster effect to your bin. It will save it as Submaster (With Src)
4. You can now load “Submaster (With Src)” into your source monitor. When you want to apply that nest of effect to another clip just edit it onto a blank track above it and it will apply your nest of clips to that track, which will in essence effect the clip below it.
