Nested veg bug, no audio

Resurrecting an old conversation — I’m having exactly this problem in Vegas 12 Pro on Windows 8, both patched with the latest available stuff.
I have a little title animation with brief sound effects that is silent when nested. I’ve tried removing muted tracks, removing tracks one-by-one, enabling/disabling audio filters such as wave hammer, all to no avail. Obviously I can render and embed but that isn’t what I paid for. Any progress made on this?

The only thing I have found was I wouls get no sound with anything other than a .WAV file. So I just ended up having to convert anything I wanted nested to .wav and never had another problem

Interesting. Sounds like a bug still. I mixed the audio down to a new track which did the trick.
