Yes, you’re right. I don’t want the changes to be reflected in the ‘MASTER’ sequence that has all the little sequences nested inside of it. Don’t get me wrong, I see the huge benefit of this feature as well. I just want a good workflow method to get around this when I don’t want those changes to be reflected in the MASTER.
For example, if I have a dessolve between one nested sequence and another and I want to make the dissolve longer. I would have to go into the nested sequence, make it a little bit longer, giving it the handles I need for the dissolve. Unfortunately, when I go back to the master, my whole timeline has been shifted, music sync and all.
