Nested Sequences
Hi,
I have a problem with nested sequences. I’m using Final Cut version 6.0.4
I have ten nested sequences, each one minute long. I am in the process of cutting up the nested sequences into individual frames- that’s 18,000 frames. Admittedly, this is not the way nested sequences are designed to be used, but it is the easiest way for me to experiment with a kind of flicker pattern that I’m using.
The problem is that the nested sequences are starting to act strangely. Whenever I change one of the original sequences, not all of the frames of the nested sequence respond. Some of the frames still seem to point back to a previous version of the sequence from before I made the changes, which should no longer even exist. Somehow when I make changes to the original sequence, Final Cut Pro creates an alternate version of that sequence which does not include the change, and some of the frames of the nested sequence point to this alternate sequence. I can open these alternate sequences up in their own tabs by double clicking the frames of the nested sequence, but I can’t find the sequences in my Browser window. It’s possible I’m asking too much of Final Cut, but I’d like to finish this project and I wonder if there is any way to fix this.
