I think I may have painted myself into a corner. I have a lot of clips of a guitar solo (me). I played it phrase by phrase and it took a lot of tries so there are 15 clips of video amounting to an hour and 40 minutes. I am trying to arrange all the video clips so that they match the comped solo on the audio track.

I used a blue screen, so instead of having to enter all the chroma key parameters for the dozens of clips, I made a nested clip. That way, I figured, I could just put the background under the nested track. This has got me very confused because I cannot hear the track audio when I am in the nested clip and the nested clip starts 51 seconds into the video, so in order to place the clip, well, I don’t know how to line it up.

I am coming back to working on this video after being away for 45 days and I can’t figure out how I placed the clips in the right place in the first place!

Isn’t there a way to apply the same chroma key settings right through without using a nested clip yet have it in the main sequence?
