Working on a slideshow project for a friend. At one point he asked if one group of photos could go through the end of one particularly song (moving some photos into the following song), which meant stretching them out time-wise to fill the first song. Instead of going through each photo to lengthen, I nested that section and time-stretched it. Plays back perfectly. Problem is when I try to render, Vegas just stops when it hits that section. Not a complete crash, just stops. Anyone ever had this happen with a nested comp? I don’t understand how it could play back perfectly but not be able to render.

    thx

Yea, I’ve seen rendering stop like this before and it’s usually fixed by going into Options | Preferences | Video and disable GPU Acceleration.

BTW, you didn’t have to use a nested project. You can select all of the pictures and press the ‘G‘ key to Group them and then drag the end of the group and all of the pictures will lengthen accordingly.

You can also use a script plug-in like VASST Still Motion for $9.95 USD and change the lengths and a whole lot more with a single click.
