nested projects don’t update
In V6 I have Project A nested into Project 1. When I make a change in Project A and save, it does not update in Project 1. In fact, I have to delete the media from the Project 1 media pool, and re-insert the changed Project A. Is this the way it’s supposed to work?

Mary — it’s not media but an actual “.veg” file that you nest. If you have one .veg nested within another, then make a change and SAVE the first .veg, then it updates automatically. (At least it does for me and it should).
Let’s take two projects:
a.veg
b.vegPlace a.veg onto the timeline of b.veg. Now right click on the a.veg clip and choose to “edit source project.” A separate instance of Vegas will open the a.veg file. Now make a change to this project and hit “save.” Alt+tab back to the b.veg project. The a.veg file is updated.
Any vegas project file that is nested will update when it is saved.

Ohhhh… I didn’t know about the “edit source project.” I was opening a.veg independently from windows and changing it. From your message, it looks like it’s supposed to update in b.veg that way as well, but it doesn’t seem to .
