  nested comp wont show puppet tool/stroke

  Hello,
  I am only a couple months into After Effects so please excuse if I don’t the right terminology.
  I nested one comp inside another. When I play the big comp (the one that has the other comp nested in it) it negates my write-on effect and puppet tool animation. I think it has something to do with the rasterize buttons turned on in both comps. If I have the rasterize button clicked on the big comp but not in the little comp, my write on/puppet tool work correctly. It’s not as sharp, though. What am I missing?
