This is an easy one but I’m trying to relearn so bear with me. How do I nest a small portion of a timeline that is heavy with effects so I can replace the original tracks with a rendered version for easy play back?

    Thanks again for your input.

You nest an entire sequence first, then cut all or part of that nest into another sequence as you desire. In your case, I would suggest creating that complex effects heavy part on a separate timeline, then nest or simply drag the sequence from the browser into your master sequence.
