  Nero’s dvd burn length

  I’ve been burning dvd’s with dvda2 with no problems. I went to burn the same dvd clip in Nero but it said it was too long and that i needed to trim some time off it to get the clip to fit on the dvd. The clip was around 1 hour and 40 minutes. I let Nero adjust the setting to fit the clip on. Why did Nero need more room? Thanks for your help
