Need wireless router buying advice
Hi everyone…
wasn’t sure what forum to post this in, but since it’s hardware-related for my mac system, this was my best guess.
Anyway…
I mainly work from home and push large files to and from the internet via my cable modem. For the next few months I have to move my office away from my cable connection (not too far but one floor up) so I figure it’s time to beef up my wireless network.
I know nothing about networking, other than the fact that my router is 802.really.old, which is fine for my usually-minimal wireless requirements. I deal with some large files and am looking for recommendations for what to buy to improve my situation. I assume I just need a faster better router, but I have no idea how to judge them, I don’t even know what 802.# is best these days. I do know pretty much anything new will be an improvement, but I’d still like to feel like I was buying decent equipment at a decent price.

Apple wireless routers are the easiest ones out there to set up and maintain.
There are no “technical solutions” to your “artistic problems”.
