I already posted this on another forum however I wanted to see if anyone else had any other suggestions:

I upgraded to Vegas pro9 and I bought a LG BH0B BD burner. Last night I tried burning my first BD DVD. When I looked under the templates I noticed many diffrent BD choices and I was unsure which to choose so I made the decision to rendered in 1920×1080-24p. 25Mbps video stream and burned in DVDA under make BD DVD. It finished burning, however it seemed very quick to burn. Anyways when I inserted the dvd into my BD DVD player the DVD will not play and when I insert it on my computer it will not play either. I thought perhaps it did not burn so I tried to burn it again and it says “This is read-only, please insert a rewritable disc” when I tried to burn it again

What am I doing wrong? any suggestions would be much appreciated! I did upgrade my DVD player to the current firmware update and my player plays BD-R so I don;t think it;s the player. Could it it have been burned incorrectly since it says read only?

    Please help me thanks!

Look at the disk in explorer. Is it a blu ray or a dvd or what (i.e., does it have .ifo files?). Tell us what the file structure on the disk is.

When I explore the disc in the DVD drive it’s blank and says 0 items in the bottom left corner. When I click on properties it shows the disc is full.

You might want to try ‘Prepare’ first instead of ‘Burn’ to see if files are being created in the first place.

My first Blu-Ray project (2.5 hours of 1440x1080i HDV edited m2t’s) took 15 hours to prepare and about 1 hour to burn on a 2X RE disc.

Do you need to format your BD disc first? Some discs like the RE’s are rewritable.
