Need to render to an HD format…newbie!!
I have Vegas 10 and am getting ready to do my first HD project. I am very familiar with Vegas basics, but only in SD.
Someone has given me two .mts files that I need to edit together and render to some sort of HD DVD. I do not have a blu-ray burner…so my question is what format do I render the project to? I know that blu-ray players can play certain formats (AVCHD??)(MP4??)..but I am new to the HD world…so I could sure use some advice!!

Maybe I am more confused than I thought. Doing more reading, it seems that the actual burning of the file determines whether the video can be played on a blu-ray player or not??
