Need to export Prores444 UHD wt 8 audio channels
Hi
I am working at 3840×2160 in Avid. I need to deliver Prores444 with 8 discreet audio channels.
As far as I know, I can’t do this directly out of Avid? In testing, my workaround is export same as source
to DNXHRX with 8 discreet channels and then open the file in QT – re-export to Prores444.
Is this the best/only way to do this?

Direct out is greyed out in the audio settings unless you do a same as source or reference movie.
You can’t do a mixdown to prores in the avid in UHD resolution, only in HD.
Unless there is some other way I am missing?… -
Not in front of a system to test, but if you switch the color space to RGB, does ProRes become a media creation option in a UHD project?
